Hunter is a homebred champion. He is one of 2 to finish from this litter with a third littermate pointed. His litter brother, CH Sandcastle's Hershey Treasure, was the Open class winner and Reserve Winners Dog at the January 2004 American Spaniel Club Nationals. We are so proud to have this dog in our kennel. He typifies everything that a Cocker is supposed to be. He has a wonderful temperament and is always a pleasure to be around.

Hunter's show career started with the local area shows, where he took a 4 point major from the puppy classes. He really could have used some time to mature as he was a gangly teenager, but the local shows were too tempting an opportunity to pass up! All but a couple of Hunter's single points were won while showing against his litter-brother, CH Sandcastle's Hershey Treasure. While we have always felt that Hunter was the better of the two boys, Ranger was more mature and flashier on the lead at the time the boys were showing. This being the case, the guys tended to flip-flop placements depending on who was showing better that day. Luckily, we didn't really care which one won as long as one of them was taking points! |
