There are 3 marking patterns that are recognized by the American Spaniel Club and AKC as existing in Cocker Spaniels.  These marking patterns are "Ticked #013", "White Markings #014",  and "Roan #036" (roan colors are included in the Parti-color definition of the breed standard and have their own color codes, but the code for Roan Markings is often incorrectly used to register merles).  Click on the links below to see pictures of dogs that exhibit the specified marking patterns.
