If you are interested in purchasing a Sandcastle Kennel's puppy, I would appreciate your answers to the following questions. It's important that I get a feeling for your family's structure, schedule and interests to help assure that the right puppy is placed in the right home.

By knowing the various requirements of both the puppy and his new owner(s), I can better help you with the choice of the correct puppy for your family. I hope you can understand that this is for your benefit as well as the puppy's.

Please answer the questions to the best of your ability, even if the puppy will not be living with you.  If the puppy will be for someone else, please answer the questions as regards the house where the puppy will live.

Are you aware that an American Cocker Spaniel requires bathing and brushing about once a week? Do you also realize that a Cocker needs to be groomed (haircut) about every 4-6 weeks? Are you willing to commit to having the dog's grooming done by a professional if you cannot or do not do this at home?   Please check all that apply.

I understand that regular grooming is essential to a Cocker's continuing good health.
Basic hygiene (brushing and bathing) will be done at home and a professional groomer will do the rest on a regular schedule.

Are you aware that young puppies need several sets of shots and may require several visits to the veterinarian within the first few months of ownership?  Are you also aware that all dogs need to be tested annually for heartworms and that puppies/dogs over 4 months of age need to be kept on a heartworm preventative to prevent this deadly parasitic infection?   Are you also willing keep a purchased animal on flea and tick preventative to ensure they do not develop health problems from these parasites?  Do you understand and accept the financial responsibility of providing a dog with minimum yearly veterinary check-ups, the preventive care described above and any treatment necessary for illness, disease or injury the dog may contract/suffer from?   Select any of the following options that apply:

Do you understand the difference between AKC "limited" registration (non-breeding/pet) and "full" registration (breeding/showing)?  All "Pets" are sold with limited AKC (non-breeding) registration and are not eligible to show in conformation show classes.  They are eligible to show in most other AKC show classes - obedience/agility/field trials. Dogs sold as pets must be spayed/neutered and cannot  be used for breeding purposes.  "Show/breeding stock" are sold on contracts which require health testing before breeding in addition to meeting showing and/or other requirements as designated for each buyer/dog.  Dogs with "full" AKC registration are eligible for all AKC show classes.  Please choose the option  appropriate for the type of puppy you are considering:
